Music Mondays: Swedish House Mafia

What were you doing on Saturday morning? If you weren’t watching the live stream of Swedish House Mafia at Madison Square Gardens, I have to ask, why the hell not!? I am such a music junkie and was literally kicking myself for not taking the opportunity to go to NYC to take part in what will go down in history as one of the best nights in the world-famous arena. But thankfully for the live stream, I didn’t miss out completely. Continue reading

Music Mondays: Victoria’s Secret Angels

They are known as the most beautiful women in the world and ahead of tomorrow night’s airing of the 16th annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion show which was held earlier this month in New York, the ‘Angels’ have released a cheeky video of them lip-synching to Maroon 5’s “Moves like Jagger”.

Fashion Spotlight: Mila Kunis

Actress, Mila Kunis has been setting the red carpet on fire on the promotional tour for her new movie “Friends with Benefits”. She was pictured at the New York  premiere in a stunning Lanvin red dress from the Resort 2012 Collection.

Continuing on the promotional trail, Mila was pictured in Moscow, Russia, in a breathtaking Elie Saab Couture dress from the designers Fall/Winter 2011 collection.

Mila paired her beautiful dress with a pair of skyscraper heels for Elie’s range.

Mila is definitely one to watch!

Cindy Crawford: Herve Then and Now

She began her career in the early 80’s at just 16-years-old, but almost three decades later, Cindy Crawford proves that she still has her supermodel figure as she poses for a new campaign for Deichmann Shoes in the middle of a busy New York street. The 45-year-old model looked beautiful as she showed off the curves that made her famous in her heyday, by slipping into a Herve Leger bandage mini-dress for the shoot.

Here is Cindy walking the catwalk in a Herve Leger design back in 1993!! 18 years later she still looks incredible in Herve. Slightly jealous over here!

Gymming it with Victoria’s Secret Models

Excuse me as I go and search for my gym bag and a pair of trainers. If ever you needed a motivation push to get yourself off to the gym, I think these images of the Victoria’s Secret models would just about do it.

They are usually seen showing off their impeccable toned bodies in lingerie on the catwalk, but this time Alessandra Ambrosio and the Victoria’s Secret girls were seen flaunting their figures for a good cause. The 30-year-old Brazilian supermodel, along with Candice Swanepoel, Erin Heatherton, Lindsay Ellingson, and Lily Aldridge all slipped into their gym gear for the Victoria’s Secret Supermodel cycle to benefit cancer at SoulCycle gym in New York City.

Wearing matching black leggings and white midriff t-shirts, the girls smiled, blew kisses and posed for the camera to promote the good cause. And with barely a scrap of make-up on, it’s easy to see why the girls have been dubbed ‘the most beautiful girls in the world.’

And now the question, why the hell do I not look this good in the gym!? Grrrr.

Fasion’s Oscars: The CFDA Awards 2011

Last night, the most fashionable of models, actresses and the hottest designers desended upon New York for the annual CFDA Fashion Awards; the industry’s version of the Oscars. The ceremony celebrated fashion royalty with Alexander Wang being awarded “Accessory Designer of the Year” and Lady Gaga “Fashion Icon of the Year”. Other winners included Celine designer, Phoebe Philo, who won the “International Designer of the Year” award and Marc Jacobs being awarded the “Lifetime Acheivement” award.

Most eyes on the night were on the purple carpet. The celebs did not let us down! There were gowns aplenty and all in a rainbow of colours.

Inside the Costume Institute Gala

Never mind the Oscars. The Costume Institute Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art is the international best-dressed convergence of the year! Held last month, Colin Firth, the winner of this year’s Best Actor Academy Award, chaired the event with Stella McCartney at the museum which was decorated like a beautiful, romantic English garden.

I’ve chosen my favourite intimate pictures courtesy of Vogue from inside the Gala to share with you.
