Lanvin Dolls: The Couture Girl’s Present

Why when I was younger did dolls dressed in couture not exist? I had Barbie. Not that I’m hating on Barbie, but dolls dressed in Lanvin! This is what princesses play with and I am a princess! Well not really, but I like to think that I could be.

Only yesterday was I discussing dolls with my best friend and how I wanted a Cabbage Patch doll. Someone a Lanvin ragdoll trumps the Cabbage Patch kid!

These limited edition dolls come out in November with proceeds from sales going to charity Dessine L’espoir (Designing Hope).

Smurfette goes Designer!

I love how my friends know me so well at times. This post was inspired by my darling friend, Nisha, who messaged me this morning with these adorable pictures of Smurfette stepping out in his seasons hottest accessories! Considering for Smurfette is one of my nicknames, I had to dedicate this post to this darling fashionista. How adorable is she in the Marc Jacobs ensemble above?!

Lea Michele for Harper’s Bazaar

Another day, another September issue. This time its the US edition of Harper’s Bazaar and Glee star Lea Michele is on the cover.

In the interview with Harper’s Bazaar, the 25-year-old revealed that she was told she was not pretty enough, and should consider a nose job. She said: ‘How many managers told me, “Get a nose job. You’re not pretty enough”? But I proved them wrong.’

These shots definitely prove her critics wrong as she sports some seriously high fashion!

Looking stunning in a belted Gucci gown.

Beautiful in Lanvin

I have some serious couture dress-envy! Read the full interview here.

Fashion Spotlight: Mila Kunis

Actress, Mila Kunis has been setting the red carpet on fire on the promotional tour for her new movie “Friends with Benefits”. She was pictured at the New York  premiere in a stunning Lanvin red dress from the Resort 2012 Collection.

Continuing on the promotional trail, Mila was pictured in Moscow, Russia, in a breathtaking Elie Saab Couture dress from the designers Fall/Winter 2011 collection.

Mila paired her beautiful dress with a pair of skyscraper heels for Elie’s range.

Mila is definitely one to watch!

Lanvin for Kids

The cute-o-meter just went up several hundred degrees with these pictures of Lanvin’s collection for kids! Inspired by Lanvin’s eponymous founder, Jeanne Lanvin and her close relationship with her daughter Marguerite, the 25-piece collection features a beautiful line of separates, dresses and accessories. Washed organza and pleated tulle form pretty dresses, adorned with delicate crystals and satin ribbon. Other highlights include a silk taffeta trench coat with beaded sleeves, frou frou tiered skirts, and T-shirts featuring a heart, created using technicolour pompoms.

Shoes come in the form of patent, satin-finished ballerina pumps with a tulle front ruffle. Young Lanvin fans are able to complete their look with necklaces, made using beads, tulle, rhinestones and metal. Designer, Alber Elbaz has also created four ragdolls, dressed in the collection, for the ultimate childrenswear accessory. I want every single one of them!

The collection is aimed at girls aged from 4 to 10 and will be available from November. Do you think I could possibly shrink down to fit into one of those dresses?! Either way, I’m totally getting some of the accessories!

Confessions of a Shoe Addict: Lanvin Horseshoe Pumps

Here’s my pick for this week’s shoe of the week – the Lanvin Horseshoe Pumps! In the brightest and funkiest neon pink, these pumps will elevate you a fabulous 6 inches off the ground (5 inches heel and 1 inch platform). Life is always better at a height!

These Lanvin pumps have a round toe, a gold nail-detailed insert at interior of hollow heel and simply slip on. The patent-leather platform pumps are a fabulous way to work this season’s brights. I’d team up these statement shoes to add a burst of color to another one of the season’s biggest trends, white.

Get them now at Net-A-Porter for £640. Just looking at them is brightening up my day!
