Every year I look forward to the Abu Dhabi F1 weekend, but this year was EXTRA special as not only was baby bro in town for all the action, but his best friend from childhood (and my adopted brother!) Mohammed was also in town to join in with all the shenanigans! Continue reading
They are known as the most beautiful women in the world and ahead of tomorrow night’s airing of the 16th annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion show which was held earlier this month in New York, the ‘Angels’ have released a cheeky video of them lip-synching to Maroon 5’s “Moves like Jagger”.
Who run the world!? Well quite clearly Queen B is doing a pretty damn fine job getting all us girls to do so and can I say we do it so well, with the shoulder shake and wearing some killer stilettos to boot!
Beyoncé and mother Tina Knowles’ House of Deréon collection is finally launching in the UK next week exclusively at Selfridges and it’s about time too. The stunning ‘City Jungle’ A/W 2011 collection will be available exclusively at Selfridges branches in London, Birmingham and Manchester Trafford stores, as well as online from September 12th.
The line brings the jungle to the city with a range of exotic prints, from leopard and snake to African rose. Think statement dresses, jumpsuit bodies and ultra-suede shorts, perfect for effortless day to evening dressing. It’s the kind of collection
House of Deréon was inspired by Tina Knowles’ mother, the late Agnés Deréon, and began in Louisiana over 85 years ago. Agnés was a skilled seamstress and dressmaker whose artistic spirit has influenced three generations of stylish women. Tina Knowles is the visionary creative director behind the brand, infusing trend breaking style mixed with pure attitude. Beyoncé collaborates with her mother on every aspect of the collection as her unmatched sense of style and chameleon-like take on fashion serves as the muse and inspiration for the line.
Tina Knowles said, “I am so excited about the international fall collection for House of Deréon. The combination of colors, exotic prints, and silhouettes make for a cohesive collection with tremendous appeal. Beyoncé and I are so proud of the line up and we can’t wait to see the consumer’s response and how she makes it her own.”
I wonder if they’ll be introducing a baby line for next season with Beyoncé’s pregnancy announcement at last week’s VMA’s. As all the jokes go, here’s my two favourite:
What will Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s kid have? Everything, but a last name!
It’s not Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s child! Its Destiny’s Child!
Okay enough of my poor humour. Selfridges 12th September, head in store or online from to snap up your favourites from the House of Deréon, collection. You have been given plenty of notice!
