There is no one in the world that I love as much as my sister. They say that sisters have bonds that are unbreakable and that has to be said about myself and my sister Laila. It had been almost a year and a half when Laila and I were reunited in September and those 10 days went by SO unbelievably fast, but we made sure we made memories to last! Continue reading
Event season has well and truly kicked off in Dubai and last night I went to Saks Fifth Avenue at Burjuman for the Face of Toby by Hatem Alakeel event. There will be a full post on the event coming up soon, but I couldn’t help treat you to a few snapshots taken with my awesome new Canon IXUS 125. Continue reading
Music Mondays is back with the latest mix from DJ Bliss – PYAO Vol.2!
The latest high energy mix from Blissoo is my personal favourite as it is an unexpected change from what Bliss normally treats us to. Trust him to switch things up!
I did promise to be regular with my blog posts, but please excuse me as I took a few days off for Eid this weekend. Continue reading
God bless the camera feature on phones. I no longer have to worry if I’ve left my camera at home because I am always able to snap away with my Blackberry and boy have I been snapping away a lot since the last feature. Here are some of my highlights. Continue reading
It’s not often that I give a birthday dedication on my blog, but this one is a must. DJ Bliss, aka Marwan Parham, is not only the hottest DJ in the Middle East, but one of the people who I am truly honoured to call a friend.
Ever since I met Marwan, life hasn’t been the same. There are some people who come into your life for a reason and Marwan is one of those rare people who I consider a blessing in disguise. Not only does he provide the soundtrack to my life, he makes me laugh until my sides hurt. And he’s not sore on the eyes too!
With a smile that can light up any room and talent that keeps me dancing until my feet hurt, DJ Bliss is THE man you want spinning at your party. I am honoured and privileged to call him a friend. Talent, swagger and class – what more do you want?! :)
#411 this weekend was a little bit extra special this week as we celebrated DJ Bliss’ birthday. To be honest, we didn’t want the night to end because we wanted our boy to have the best night ever. We hope you did Marwan! Thank you to The Real Flava and Mr Shef Codes for an amazing night!!
Happy Birthday B+. You are awesome and you make every day that little bit more special just by being in it.
Love you xoxo :)
If you follow me on Twitter, you may be aware that I am involved in mentoring the fashion students at Heriot Watt University in Dubai. Last week I went down to the campus to have a talk with the students who were presenting their collections to Splash as well as the Powerpuff Arabia ambassadors, DJ Bliss and Simone Heng. You all probably know that I am the poster child for #411 Saturdays at People by Crystal with The Real Flava. I haven’t missed a night since I moved back to Dubai permanently at the beginning of the year, just because it is my favourite night out of the week. The music is always on point, the crowd is always amazing and it’s a great chance to be reunited with the crew.
So imagine my surprise as I danced my socks off this weekend only to turn around and see Ne-Yo partying on our table. Yes! The one and only Ne-Yo! Having seen him at Atelier Live last month brought back some incredible memories and truly cemented what an amazing performer he is live.
Ne-Yo was in town for a private event, but thanks to DJ Neptune he stopped by People by Crystal for my friend DJ Say-G’s birthday. This incredible weekend long shindig involved yachts, clubs and a trip to Blue Marlin Ibiza-UAE that I will share with you all soon, but until then, this week’s dose of “Music Mondays” is dedicated to Ne-Yo and his latest song with Calvin Harris that I just cannot get out of my mind.
Thank God for my Blackberry camera. Over the past few months it has been at hand to capture some EPIC life events and following it’s drowning on Thursday night after I got thrown into my friend’s pool, I was so happy that my SD Card survived, even though the phone didn’t.
So in memory of my Blackberry (my she rest in peace) I’ve decided to share a few pictures I’ve snapped away recently. Continue reading
