There is always something magical about the Tiffany & Co. Blue Box that can raise a smile on a woman’s face. As a huge fan of the brand, I was honoured to attend the launch of Paloma Picasso’s Venezia Collection launch in Dubai last week.
The collection which is available in Dubai and across the Middle East, has been designed by Paloma Picasso, daughter of the renowned artist Pablo Picasso. As an avid traveller, Paloma has incorporated the art and culture of exotic locations into her work. Inspired by the architecture and atmosphere of Venice, Paloma’s Venezia Collection for Tiffany & Co. is an homage to the city’s beauty and historical legacy.
To celebrate the launch of the collection in the Middle East, Tiffany & Co. hosted an exclusive fashion show at Dubai’s Caffe Florian, styled in collaboration with the region’s premier fashion destination, Boutique 1. Wearing coveted designs of Roland Mouret, Victoria Beckham, Acne and Alaia’s A/W 2011 collections, the models exuded elegance whilst showcasing the beautiful Paloma Picasso Venezia Collection in all it’s glory.
Speaking at the event, Laurent Cathala, Tiffany & Co. VP for emerging markets said, “We are very excited about Paloma’s Venezia Collection and are confident that her intricately fine designs, combined with her bold and playful coloured pieces, will appealing to our discerning customers throughout the region.” Personally, I am sold on this exquisite collection and have my eye on a couple more pieces to add to my Tiffany & Co. collection very soon!
No event is ever complete without an impromptu photoshoot and Photobooth-Me were there help guests “Strike a Venetian Pose.” Coupled with Caffe Florian’s delicious edible treats, this was one fun morning in DIFC.
