Claudia Schiffer for Harper’s Bazaar

At 40 years old and with 24 years work in front of the camera, Claudia Schiffer proves she hasn’t lost that supermodel sparkle in a new swimwear shoot for Harper’s Bazaar.

In the new shoot, Claudia shows off the body that landed her contracts with some of the world’s biggest fashion houses and over 500 cover shoots for magazines around the globe. Despite being mother to three children, Caspar, Clementine and Cosina, the supermodel proves she is still in possession of her enviable, ultra slim figure. I am majorly jealous!

Seen in this final shot, Claudia models one of her own knitwear designs, a blue hand-knitted cardigan coat which retails at £865. Claudia is using the knowledge she’s acquired as a model to launch her own fashion line – injecting her supermodel sparkle into a range of knitwear.

The model has almost 24 years experience of working it in front of the camera, but she’s only recently taken a leap of faith to produce her own clothing line.

In the interview which accompanies the new shoot she revealed that she is confident yet very nervous about her collection. She told the magazine: ‘It’s the first time I have put my name to something. I feel very confident, but also very nervous. Who knew? Maybe it will just be me, the only person in the whole world who likes it. I’ve worked far too long in the fashion industry that I could just sell out. I always knew I wanted to do something that I would love myself, something to be proud of. And there was never a product I really loved. I’ve had a lot of friends who said I was insane. But for me, it’s not just about the money.’

The July Issue of Harper’s Bazaar UK is out on Monday June 6th.
