One to Watch: Milin

I love finding new designers. Sometimes you see a spark in a new collection that captures your imagination and leaves you wanting more. I came across Milin’s Spring 2011 look book today and it has managed to do just that.

Bangkok-based designer Milin Yuvacharuskul’s collection is positively dreamy. It’s the silhouettes; the details that are feminine without being too soft, a ruffled neckline, a row of pleats tiered over another; and those perfectly dreamy colours made to reflect the transient colours of the changing skies. When it’s not off tarrying in summer dress territory, the collection flirts briefly with exaggerated wide leg pants in neatly tailored cuts. Even the woodstacked shoes with their wind-around fabric ties are the perfect addition to the range.
