Gender Wars – Part 2

If you follow me on Twitter, you may be aware of some gender-related banter between some friends and myself. It all started last month when Rami posted an article on his blog about ‘women‘. Not to take the insults laying down, Thuraya and I responded in true female fashion. Samer then decided to get in on the action and hence begun full on Gender Wars!

Samer has today updated his blog with information on training courses for women. I shall address every course proposal.

Topic 1. Silence, the Final Frontier: Where No Woman Has Gone Before

When a woman is silent, it is much more deadly for you men, so I suggest you let us speak. It’s when we are quiet that we are the most dangerous!

Topic 2. The Undiscovered Side of Banking: Making Deposits

The economy has only recovered because of us women and our need to shop!

Topic 3. Parties: Going Without New Outfits

Where is the fun in that? The fashion industry is a multi-billion dollar industry and we keep it going. And you cannot be pictured wearing the same thing twice in the same season. That is poor etiquette!

Topic 4. Bathroom Etiquette: Men Need Space in the Bathroom Cabinet Too

You are men. We will allow you one shelf in the cabinet as long as we can have 3. You do NOT need that many products!

Topic 5. Communication Skills I: Tears – The Last Resort, not the First

At least we are emotionally stunted!

Topic 6. Communication Skills II: Getting What you Want Without Nagging

If you gave us what we wanted in the first place we would not have to nag. We always get what we want anyway, so save yourself the trip to the pharmacy for some Nurofen and just give us what we want to begin with.

Topic 7. Driving a Car Safely: A Skill You CAN Acquire

As a woman driver, I have to say we are better drivers and map-readers than our male counterparts! Throwing in some statistics here to back my claim up, its been proven that men are at a 77% higher risk of dying in a car accident than women.

Topic 8. Telephone Skills: How to Hang Up

How about you guys actually call when you say you will? Just a thought.

Topic 9. Classic Footwear: Wearing Shoes You Already Have

Just because male footwear isn’t the most interesting in the world, don’t take it out on us and our Loubies! I’m yet to meet a man who doesn’t like a girl in heels by the way.

Topic 10. Oil and Petrol: Your Car Needs Both

Any woman who doesn’t know that your car needs both and are actually two different things really shouldn’t be driving!

A full on face-to-face debate will soon take place, but I wanted to ask the Candy and Couture readers their opinion on who is truly the greater sex. I’m opening Pandora’s box here, but the gloves are well and truly off, so send me your comments and we’ll feature the best in the next “Gender Wars” feature.
