Pixie for Lipsy

Sssh! I’m going to let you in on a little secret. I’m known for being a bit of a party animal and every good party girl has to have a wardrobe full of party dresses and I’m exactly the same. But when you go out as much as I do, and yes I go out a lot, you need a fabulous collection of dresses to see you out in style. For me, it is all about Lipsy! I have so many of their dresses and I can honestly say they are some of the best ones that I own.

One collaboration that I’ve really been looking forward to is the “Pixie Lott for Lipsy” collection. Musician Pixie Lott has helped design her second collection for Lipsy and it is an homage to everything Seventies.

For those of you who think celebrities just give their names to collections and have no part in the actual design process, think again for this collection. Pixie was very hands on in the design and decision-making process.

I don’t know why, but the Pixie for Lipsy range makes me really happy. Maybe its the colours, the styles or even Pixie herself, but the collection has totally brightened up my day.

I love Bebe!

I can’t tell you how much I love Bebe. Its one of the stores that we don’t have in London, so whenever I am in Dubai, it is one of the first stores I hit, especially the one at Dubai Mall. And if you’re the kind of person who hates being out and finding that you’re wearing the same dress as someone else (traumatic I have to admit!) then Bebe is the place I recommend you shop to avoid it happening! Not that the store isn’t popular. On the contrary, with outlets in all the major malls across the UAE, Bebe is one hot place to shop. I’m just lucky that I haven’t been caught out in the same outfit as someone else yet!

Bebe’s Spring/Summer look book is one of my favourites this season. Playful, sexy, colourful and so girly – I absolutely love the entire collection. A visit to Dubai Mall has been earmarked for my next trip!

Make it a Sunny Summer with Chanel

Nothing says “Summer’s here” quite like a sexy pair of sunglasses. Photographed by Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld, Elisa Sednaoui returns for another season as the face of Chanel eyewear, posing for the Spring/Summer 2011 campaign. Captured in black and white, Elisa models two pairs of sunglasses; a white wayfarer style pair and a dark black pair, while dressed in a breezy gingham dress in this summery, sophisticated shoot.

I spend a lot of time posting about shoes. I spend a lot of time shopping for shoes. I even spend a lot of time sitting online researching shoes. It’s an addiction. Hi – my name is Seher and I’m a shoe addict!

Ever since I got my first pair of Louboutins, my addiction to shoes reached catastrophic heights, just like the size of his heels! And this season’s collection will probably send my cravings into over drive and a stint in shoe rehab isn’t too far off the cards, but can you blame me!? Blanco Spring/Summer Look Book

One of my favourite trends every summer is the nautical fashions that come through once a year. I have an affinity to the red, white and blue, the stripes and the cute little buttons shaped liked anchors. So when I came across the Spring/Summer look book from Spanish brand, Blanco, I immediately set out to find out more.

Blanco is one of Spain’s top clothing brands to date and it is focused on providing casual, yet high quality fashion. The brand offers a transitional way of dressing up, beginning with simple basics to bold, wild prints. This season Blanco delivers some of the most amazing pieces in keeping with the hottest trends for summer, all at affordable prices. I definitely recommend this store if you have not yet been.

Cavalli Fuels My Addiction!

I may as well give up and go and live in a department store like Bloomingdales or Harrods because I don’t think I’ll ever have enough bags or shoes to satisfy my needs. I blame my mum. She has over 200 pairs of shoes and she will still head to the shoe department when she enters a store first. On a recent shopping trip, we collectively bought 7 pairs of shoes between us and could have easily gone on and bought some more! My dream one day is to have a walk-in closet with shelves just for all my shoes. That for me is my idea of heaven!

Back to this post and Roberto Cavalli has done it again. Not content on having one of the most fabulous Spring/Summer clothing collections, his footwear and accessories line compliments the mainline beautifully and leaves me giddy for both the heels and the flats! Oh and I really won’t say no to a few of those bags either!

Anthropologie – A Summer Affair

It wasn’t enough that Victoria’s Secret had to reveal their swimwear collection this week, but American brand Anthropologie has just released images of their swimwear collection for the season, so it seems like I’ll be working doubly as hard in the gym for here on out!

I have to admit I actually prefer these designs to the ones from Victoria’s Secret. I love the retro high-waited bikini designs and the sexy, yet sweet one piece ensembles. Designers such as Chloe and DVF have both favoured these kind of styles in their current campaigns and considering summer is now on our doorstep, its time to be thinking about look hot on the beach whilst remaining cool and uber-stylish!

Maybe I have such an affinity for the brand as it is one I worked as Brand Manager for in my days working retail at Selfridges, but there is something about the style, the tailoring, the prints and the embellishments that go into a Roberto Cavalli creation that make me wish every day could be spent on a yacht cruising the med.
