Anna Sui Beauty Campaign A/W 2011

I am currently in love with this campaign! Frida Gustavsson returns as the face of Anna Sui‘s beauty line for Autumn/Winter 2011 campaign. Showcasing the new beauty range, Frida wears a mixture of bright eyeshadows, vampy eyeliner and dark mascara as she poses in loud outfits, floral headwear and printed manicure nails as well as a mixture of jewels. She looks almost ethereal!

I’m a sucker for pretty packaging and have to admit the Anna Sui collection is one of the most beautifully presented ones that I have ever seen.

Juicy Couture Look Book A/W 2011

You hear the words ‘Juicy Couture’ and usually the image of chavs in velour sweats is conjured up. You know the kind that carry a miniature puppy in a bright pink bag whilst they strut down the street with their G-string hanging out! Well be prepared for a shock. The Juicy Couture A/W 2011 Look Book contains no velour!!

Models Frida Gustavsson and Shannan Click are captured by photographers, Claudia Knoepfel and Stefan Indlekofer, in a collection full of girly ensembles including casual stripes, textured coats and capes, skinny jeans, tailored blazers and subtly printed dresses – a perfect transition for the season ahead.

The collection is rounded off with a range of accessories such as eyewear, bags and jewellery that will keep you smiling and looking ever-so-stylish through the colder months!

p.s. I have nothing against Juicy velours sweats. I actually like them, but there has been some SERIOUS over kill with them over the past few years.

Topshop A/W 2011

Fall this year is set to be the year of the vamp. Models Nyasha Matonhodze and Hailey Clauson are captured by Josh Olins for Topshop‘s Autumn/Winter 2011 advertising campaign. Both girls appear wearing dark vampy makeup as they strut around a lavish location showing off a variety of designer inspired items from textured coats to leather pleated mini-skirts ofset with a mixture of metallic heels, animal print bags and furry stoles. I am LOVING that polka-dot dress!

Daisy Lowe for A Bathing Ape A/W 2011

When I hearing anything to do with BAPE or Bathing Ape I can’t help but smile. A thousand memories of my youth come flooding back and my best friend’s obsession with a brand made famous by celebrities like Pharrell Williams a few years back. So when I was told that BAPE were launching a womenswear line in Europe, I was expecting some serious cool urban sportswear. How wrong was I? The collection can only be described as preppy-chic with letter-man jackets, poodle skirts and the best range of knitwear I have seen in a while.

When looking for the perfect face to launch BAPE womenswear in Europe, the obvious choice was Daisy Lowe. Daisy has been a regular at the London store since it opened its doors and is a self-confessed BAPE addict. In a series of specially commissioned images by Kate Moross, Daisy flaunts her mix of saucy seduction and tomboy sass perfectly complimenting the cute and knowing cool of collection. The womenswear collection will be available for A/W 2011, exclusively on the BAPE Europe website.

Look Book: Christian Dior A/W 2011

The Christian Dior A/W 2011 look book shines a new light on John Galliano’s last collection for the fashion house.

The Dior website explains: “Dior’s Fall ready-to-wear collection takes its inspiration from the legendary love affair between Mrs. Wallis Simpson and Edward VIII. English romanticism is channeled into Balmoral fringed tweeds and candy-coloured tartans with Prince of Wales checks. Ultimate luxury and expertise create evening glamour in elegant draped gowns and head to toe sequins to ensure that every head is turned.”

Last week I featured a video of Christian Dior’s Fall 2011 collection. My love affair for everything Dior began many years ago when I got my first job in Harrods and saved up my entire month’s salary for one Dior bag! Well another love affair has started to develop for me and the Lady Dior bag! Must have one soon!!

Confessions of a Shoe Addict: Darmaki A/W 2011

You may remember how I introduced you to DARMAKI back in December last year. Well how time flies especially in the world of fabulous footwear!

Darmaki is a luxurious footwear couture brand created by Sultan Al Darmaki and a team of Italy’s finest craftsmen. It combines artistic and cultural influences with the excellence of superior Italian manufacturing. And from the pictures above, you are guaranteed that once your put a pair of Darmaki’s on, your feet will do all the talking!

Acclaimed fashion experts have described Darmaki’s first collection as a “Walking Work of Art” and an “Art Installation” with styles fusing cutting edge trends and techniques with a truly feminine twist. Distinguishing Darmaki from other designer footwear brands, each shoe has intricate details and incorporates high-quality mixed materials which give the shoe its own unique inspirational character, as well as a challenging and innovative construction and extraordinary use of motifs. They don’t call this a couture shoe brand for nothing!!

To get your hands on a pair of these to-die-for heels head to Bullets & Butterflies in Mercato Mall, Dubai or Impression Boutique in The Pearl, Qatar. Alternatively head online to The Luxury Emporium.

If you like full-blown glamour, then this is the collection for you. The collection features sequin-adorned dresses, plenty of bold prints and the most fabulous petal dress I have ever seen in my life!

I had to show you these pieces from the collection. Heavy jewel-encrusted dresses, coats and skirts – simply out-of-this-world!

The video lookbook features models like Abbey Lee Kershaw, Karlie Kloss, and Daphne Groeneveld. No doubt it will be a much sought-after collection once again.
