I was a girl in heaven today as I got to raid Steve Madden at Mall of Emirates and try on their latest collection for Spring/Summer 2012. I was literally running around the store like a kid in a candy store giddy with excitement!!

As someone new to Steve Madden, I have to admit that I was really impressed by the styles and variety available and all at a very affordable price point. And considering how many shoes I have destroyed in the past few weeks in Dubai, I have already replaced them with staples from Steve Madden.

As a shoe addict, Steve Madden comes highly recommended. Trust me, you will NOT be disappointed.

Fashion blogger, Tala Samman was invited by Saks Fifth Avenue Dubai on Saturday to style a fashion show featuring some of the hottest new designers exclusive to Saks. With 35 new brands in Saks Contemporary department, the show was stunning and guests enjoyed candy and cakepops whilst listening to some hot beats courtesy of DJ Bliss.

Hi. My name is Seher and I have an addiction to salons. The amount I spend in salons would make my mum shudder in disbelief, but nothing rivals that fresh out of the salon feeling. So when I got invited to the launch of VOG – Coiffure, Dubai’s latest all purpose salon, it was one opportunity I wasn’t going to turn down. 

I grabbed my big sister Sophie and headed to VOG Coiffure which is located on the 1st Floor of Sunset Mall, the new mall situated on Jumeirah Beach Road for a complete afternoon of pampering. We were treated to facials, massages, manicures and pedicures, makeovers and hairstyling as part of one awesome afternoon. And to top the event off, our tummies were filled with yummy canapes and cupcakes and we got to play dress up with Photobooth-ME.

I was super impressed with the quality of services on offer at the salon and the best part of it is that they actually offer EVERYTHING under the one roof. Staff are super friendly and highly trained as well which I find so important. It is definitely one place I will be going back very soon.

Last night saw Dubai’s coolest kids rock “Geek Chic” at the launch of my favourite place in town – MAKE Business Hub! 

When I say I’m at MAKE every day I am actually not joking. I am at an advantage as MAKE is literally in the building next to my apartment in Dubai, but even if it wasn’t, this the city’s coolest urban space and cafe to head to for work, socialising and or just whiling away a few hours in with a good book.

So it’s that time of year again when we are meant to celebrate love…I don’t agree with this. Love should be celebrated every single day regardless of whether you are in a relationship or not, so this Valentines Day I’ve decided to share with you the loves of my life – my family.

My family are the most supportive people in the whole wide world and I know I drive them absolutely bonkers at times, but its’s so heart-warming to know that no matter what, they will always be there for me. My mum and dad are the reason for my existence so there is nothing I wouldn’t do for them and my brother Sam and sister Laila are the only reason I stay grounded, because they would actually kick my ass if I didn’t stay true to who I am.

The rugrats who enrich my life on a daily basis are my reason for breathing; Azaan, Malika, Daniyal and Ali – I love you all soooo much. No aunt has ever been so blessed in her life to have all you her life. And to all my cousins, Sumera, Amir, Sana, Salman, Hinna (my sidekick), Faraaz, Hasan, Ali, Safa and Rafae – there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think of  each and every one of you!

Happy Valentines Day everyone. Enjoy it no matter what you do
